The Corporation shall serve many purposes, Among them are:1. To promote Missouri Town - 1855, a living history Museum operated by Jackson Country Parks and Recreation Dept. as an educational facility for the general public and to encourage research, documentation, learning and practice of the crafts, skills and life styles indigenous to western Missouri and promote the preservation of Missouri history of the pre-civil war era.
2. To promote docents in the village of Missouri Town 1855 and to assist in interpreting the culture, life-style and crafts of the 1850's. To provide instructors for classes, seminars and workshops pertaining to the study of Missouri Town - 1855, to research, document, publish papers, etc. and to make available to others information on the life-style of the people in western Missouri during the period of Missouri Town - 1855.
